On friday afternoon, an accident with six vehicles involved occurred shortly after the plech exit of the A9 in the bayreuth district. Upper franconia police report on sunday.

A 45-year-old female driver had to brake due to heavy traffic. A 31-year-old woman driver recognized the situation too late and crashed into the BMW of the 45-year-old woman.

Both vehicles came to a halt in the left lane with total damage. A VW T5 braked and stopped behind the crashed vehicles. A 29-year-old BMW driver crashed into this T5. A van drove into the stationary BMW, which was then hit by a 26-year-old opel driver.

Countless accidents throughout franconia – some serious

The opel skidded across all three lanes and crashed from the right guardrail across all three lanes into the left guardrail. Three people were slightly injured in the accident. The total damage amounts to approx. 70.000 euro. THW and surrounding fire departments secured the accident scene and cleaned the roadway. All vehicles had to be towed away.

A traffic jam about five kilometers long formed in the direction of the north. At the same time and only 500 meters further in the direction of berlin, a 63-year-old driver of a golf car slid into the right-hand crash barrier on a snow-covered road, while on the opposite lane in the direction of nurnberg, a 46-year-old driver of a BMW 3-series car skidded first to the left and then to the right into the crash barrier, also due to the snowfall.

The damage caused by these two accidents was approximately 13.000 euros and here, too, the cars had to be towed away. While in the first accident, the person who caused the accident will face a charge of negligent physical injury, the two drivers in the snow accidents will each receive a charge of inappropriate speed with a fine of 145 euros and a penalty point.
